Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

Location: Carville Louisiana

Description: Maxim Healthcare Services is in need of Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA right now, this position will be placed in Louisiana. Compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (or nurse aide, orderlies, patient care technician, home health aide) is needed to provide assistance to patients with! daily living tasks, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Coverage is needed part time / per diem.

• Certified Nursing Assistants shall, report changes in patient’s conditions; obtain and record vital signs; and obtain blood sugar readings. The Certified nursing shall follow the guidance of the LPN, RN, or Director of nurses for instructions regarding patient care not covered in this section Documentation requirements for RN/LPN Personnel (submitted to the NHDP Project Officer 30 days from receipt of notice of contract award.

oCopy of valid, current, unrestricted nursing license

oCopy of nursing education and training

oCopy of Basic Life Support (BLS) â€" mandatory

oSigned consent for release of information

oA professional resume, accompanied by the individual’s sworn affidavit of the truthfulness of same, indicating experience, training, and technical expertise in the type of care to be ren! dered.

Responsibilities include:

• ! Giving patients important social and emotional support.
• Providing vital information on patient conditions to nurses.
• Be responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs.

Qualifications include:

• Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Minimum one (1) year of CNA experience required, based on state requirements, with home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification, based on state requirements.
• Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements.
• Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray.
• Reliable transportation.
