CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (MED SURG POST OP INTERNAL MEDICINE TELEMETRY)

Description: Ochsner Health System is in need of CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (MED SURG POST OP INTERNAL MEDICINE TELEMETRY) right now, this job will be placed in Louisiana. Duties:
Works collaborat! ively with and under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse to provide for the delivery of patient care through the use of the nursing process. Communicates effectively with coworkers, patients, family and visitors. Provides a safe environment for the patient. Assists the patient to reach optimal functioning considering their individual capabilities. Performs all functions as delegated by the staff nurse. Must keep nursing personnel informed and adheres to the policies and procedures of Ochsner Medical Center. Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner’s “Expectations” as duties are performed on a daily basis.

Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA) required at time of hire; Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Regional pool requires renewal every two years. Healthcare provider CPR is required. Hospital and telemetry experience preferred.

Other Requir! ements:
Must be able to multi task and be self motivat! ed. Must be able to work effectively under stress and have general computer skills. Current math, reading, writing at 12 grade level or above.
