To provide oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of the Director/Manager. Supervises nurses and staff and take! s administrative responsibilities. Leads and Directs the work of others.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years acute care experience and 1 year charge/supervisory nurse experience. Current Louisiana State Board of Nursing licensure as Registered Nurse. BLS, ACLS, PALS certification. Able to work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team. Able to maintain a safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors. Able to assess vital signs and patient changes and respond appropriately.Knowledge of patient rights.Able to meet the physical requirements and demands of this position.Ability to function within stressful and emergency situations.Knowledgeable of Universal Precautions and BSI (body substance isolation).
