Manager serves as the program leader, and has responsibility
for ensuring t! he overall efficient operation of the department in
various aspects including creating, maintaining and managing a
therapeutic milieu within the treatment program to ensure the safety
of patients and staff.
Responsibilities include:
24-hour responsibility for the functioning of
the Partial Hospitalization Program
Providing quality nursing care to meet
identified patient outcomes
Carrying out assigned functions according to
philosophy, goal and objectives of the hospital and Partial
Hospitalization Program
Contributing as an active part of the
treatment team
Patient close observation
Patient escorts
Providing redirection & consistency

Requirements
This opportunity is available to individuals who
meet the following requirements:
Current RN license to practice in the state of
Louisiana is required
A minimum of two (2) years experience in an
inpatient psychiatric setting
Knowledge of PHP regulations is required
Skills in clinical evaluation,
decision-making, prioritizing and time management
Effective oral and written communication
skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required
Ability to interact in a positive manner and
to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor
and other hospital employees
Must be able to work in a fast-paced
environment with frequent interruptions
Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force
occasionally
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach,
stand, walk, push, pull, lift & grasp
Successful completion Crisis Prevention
Intervention (CPI) & ! CPR within 90 days of employment
