II . General Summary:
The RN Operations Coordinator (OC) supports the Unit Director by assuming unit responsibility for practice, quali! ty of care, and service delivered. Organizes information and plans with the Unit Director to assure the delivery nursing care in accordance with the prescribed medical regimen, policies and regulatory standards. Collaborates with the Unit Director and leadership team in the development and implementation of programs or initiatives, which enhance clinical performance, support financial goals, aid in the development of staff and improve patient satisfaction. Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner's Expectations as duties are performed on a daily basis.
III. Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education, Experience & Training:
Licensed registered nurse, with current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Louisiana.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. CPR Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Minimum 2 years experience.
B. Other Qualifications:
Supervisory and computer experience preferred; Mus! t have positive customer relations and
interpersonal ! relationship skills; Comfortable with conflict resolution; Able to work well in
stressful situations remaining objective at all times. Skilled in knowledge acquisition, working in
groups, management of change and dissemination of new knowledge to other healthcare
professionals.
C. Physical Demands:
As per Dictionary of Occupational Titles, Vol. II, 4th Edition, Medium Work - exerting 20 to 50
lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 Ibs. of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up
to 10 Ibs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of
those for light work (1991, pg. 1013). Able to function calmly in stressful situations.
