The patient care sitter will provide continuous observation of patients who have the potential for or who have demonstrated behaviors that put them at risk for injury. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the ! Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Observes the patient(s) at all times. Maintains a safe environment. Reports any changes in condition or any concerns immediately. Performs any appropriate duties as delegated by Registered Nurses or Nursing Assistants (toileting, turning, grooming, feeding, ambulating. Required to sit with PEC/CEC patients. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Customer Relations, Healthcare or Volunteer. High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Relations, Healthcare or Volunteer. Required: Enthusiasm, compassion and a genuine desire to help others.
Licensure/Certification: Preferred: Certified Nursin! g Assistant State of Louisiana. Required: CPI within 90 days o! f hire. Current CPR.
