The Telemetry RN is responsible for delivery of professional nursing care according to the established policies of the department, West Jefferson Medical Center and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The Telemetry RN is a direct pat ient care provider who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, medical, surgical, and post critical care needs. Typical direct care patients include those who are at minimal-to-moderately high risk and to a large extent care is routine, standardized and outcomes are predictable. The Telemetry RN must also be able to identify cardiac rhythms and intervene appropriately in the care of cardiac, medical and surgical patients with and without cardiac diagnosis.
Job Specifications - Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or Associate Degree (Preferred) or Nursing Diploma (Required)
Certification(s): CPR (Required)
Licensure(s): Louisiana RN Unencumbered Licensure (Required) or RN Exam Applicant Permit (Required)
Related Experience: 1 year in related area (Preferred)
