Job Responsibilities
Responsible for independent planning and implementing those activities essential to the provision of quality nursing care for assigned patients.
Develops, manages, and coordinates the patient plan of care in partnership with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patient/family.
Identifies and prioritizes patients’ age-specific needs and alters care plans as necessary based on assessment data.
Registered Nurse monitors patients for changes in status and indications of conditions
Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon patients' clinical status.
Med/Surg RN documents nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
Compiles and analyzes data obtained ! from monitoring or diagnostic tests.
Responds quickly and ! accurately to changes in patients’ condition or response to treatment.
Med/Surg RN acts as an advocate for patients’ and families’ needs, and provides emotional support for patients and their families.
Job Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
Current Louisiana RN license required
1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
CPR and ACLS certifications required
