A member of the Executive Team with responsibility for the development and implementation of hospital strategies, and the plans for provision of nursing care, treatment at the main campus, th! e SMH Regional Cancer Center, and SMH Imaging Center. Ensures exceptional physician and patient satisfaction with nursing services, and demonstrates highly effective physician relationship skills. Responsible for achieving superior quality, operational, performance improvement and fiscal goals. Develops and grows service lines, and develops leadership skills in direct reports. Represents nursing with the governing body and on hospital committees and Board of Commissioners. Participates in hospital sponsored events and serves as an ambassador by engaging in community efforts.
Requires a BSN and post-graduate degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or a related field. Current licensure in Louisiana and certification in Nursing Administration through ANCC. Five years nursing management in an acute care hospital setting.
