Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVHCS) invites you to participate in the VA mission to provide healthcare to our Nation's Veterans. The VA is proud to provide care for men and women who have sacrificed for their country, many of whom might not otherwise have access to medical services.
We are looking for a few Primary Care Physicians to join our network of practitioners. The network includes clinics in five communities in Southeast Louisiana including New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Slidell, Hammond and St. John.
Customer service, consistent highly-quality care and efficiency in a friendly atmosphere are the operating principles of our practice. We are a leader in establishing multidisciplinary, collaborative care in a medical home model. Our practitioners use the most advanced and comprehensive electronic medical record system in the country. We provide a broad base of primary care and specialties including: internal medicine, family practice, cardiology, general surgery, gynecology, infectious disease, oncology/outpatient chemotherapy, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain medicine, podiatry, pulmonology, radiology, rehabilitation services, and urology. We affiliated with two medical schools, two nursing schools and a school of pharmacy. Daily interaction with students, residents, and other trainees is expected.
SLVHC is currently constructing a modern, state of the art, VA Hospital in downtown New Orleans expected to open in 2015.
