Description: Louisiana Department of State Civil Service is currently seeking to employ REGISTERED NURSE ADVANCED PRACTICE right now, this vacancy will be placed in Louisiana. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of an active, unencumbered, unrestricted ! and valid Louisiana registered nurse license to practice professional nursing plus an active, valid Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license or temporary permit. NOTE: The temporary APRN permit allows an APRN applicant to work in a limited capacity for up to 120 days while awaiting review for full APRN licensure by the nursing board. An APRN applicant cannot medically diagnose or medically manage patients until they are licensed and have prescriptive authority. If the APRN license is not received within the 120 day period and the permit expires, the employee must be removed from the position. NOTE: Certification will be verified by LA State Board of Nursing prior to granting licensure.
This position is located in the South Central LA Human Services Authority in Houma.
