• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic Life Support
• Licensed in the State of Louisiana or eligible
Neonatal Advance Life Support

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients in the assigned department(s) on a twenty-four hour basis. Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities including fiscal, material and human resources management. Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures, and maintains open communication with all staff and physicians to promote improvement in performance. Skills and abilities must include: critical thinking; communication; delegation; computers; prioritization; time management; interpersonal skills; leadership and management; customer service; emergency management; coaching and mentoring; scheduling; project management; and, change implementation.
Must possess the ability ! to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing wit! h a diverse population of employees, physicians, patients and their families; the ability to work productively under stressful circumstances; the ability to perform tasks which may involve lifting, prolonged standing and walking; and the ability to promote customer service and mediate conflict in support of Touro's mission, vision and values.

Knowledge of: regulatory agency standards and requirements; budgeting; clinical competency, outcome, personnel and process evaluation; data analysis; confidentiality (HIPAA); problem-solving; clinical knowledge; conflict management; principles of management; human resources policies; strategic planning; group process; and, change theory is essential in fulfilling this position.
