Qualifications

Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum Work Experience
1 year or more experience in a Critical Care setting.
Required Licenses/Certifications
Current Louisiana State Board of Nursing licensure as Registered Nurse BLS certification. BLS, ACLS certification.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Able to work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team. Able to maintain a safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors. Able to assess vital signs and patient changes and respond appropriately. Knowledge of patient rights. Able to meet the physical requirements and demands of this position. Ability to function within stressful and emergency situations. Knowledgeable of Universal Precautions and BSI (body substance isolation)
