Description
Plans, directs, coordinates, and supports all aspects of Cardiovascular services delivery at the hospita! l. Has direct responsibility for planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating Cardiology diagnostic services. Works with administration to assure optimum performance of all areas, ensuring timely testing and diagnosis. Evaluates work performance and is responsible for monitoring and reporting quantitative and qualitative results and outcomes. Work with Administration in promoting the strategic plan for Cardiac Services and the development/implementation of the Heart Institute. Interacts with physicians to enhance the delivery of cardiac care and increase physician satisfaction. New program development, marketing and strategic business plan development are expectations of this position.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Health Care or Business Administration, Nursing, or related healthcare field preferred. Current licensure as RN or Radiology Technologist required. Administrative background or administrative residency preferred. Evidence of success in B! usiness Development and demonstrated strategic skills required! .
Experience of two or more years in clinical service development, preferably Cardiology, is essential. Experience managing a Cath Lab is required. Management experience in a large, acute care setting is highly desirable.
Global perspective, strong knowledge of healthcare finance, able to work across the lines, strong organization skills, promotes teamwork and good relationships among department and other facilities. Provides leadership in development of Cardiac Institute.
