Hospice nurses provide palliative care to hospice patients in their place of residence. Hospice nurses act independently, but follow physician orders. Nurses work with a team of physicians, aides, social workers, chaplains! , volunteers, and therapists to manage the patients' entire plan of treatment.

All hospice nurses are required to supervise hospice aides according to state regulations. All hospice nurses are required to participate in the call rotation which varies by office. On-call nurses are required to make home visits after hours when on-call.

All clinical notes are entered on company-provided lap-top computer with point-of-service software system.

Preferred Skills:
All hospice nursing positions require at least 1 year of independent nursing experience, a current RN license in the state of employment, a clear background check, and a current drivers license.
