Position Summary:
Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. Facilitates modifications to clinical

documentation through extensive interaction with

physicians, case managers, social workers, nursing staff, HIM Coders, and other

Healthcare providers; to ensure the clinical documentation reflects the level of service being rendered to patients are complete and accurate. Educates all Interdisciplinary

healthcare members to the importance of accurate and detailed documentatio! n, which will improve quality patient care, reduce compliance ! risks, and capture appropriate

reimbursement.

Position Requirements:
(Minimum qualifications for the position)

A.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Louisiana Licensure as a Registered Nurse.

B.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered.

C.

Experience:
3 to 5 years of clinical experience

D.

Special qualifications:
Possesses critical thinking skills.

Superior clinical assessment skills. Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and related medical record documents. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills in building, negotiating and maintaining crucial relationships. Communicates clearly, proactively and concisely with all key stakeholders. Demonstrate proficiency in computer and softwar! e applications.
