as the Team Leader, and has responsibility for creating, maintaining
ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising LPNs, MHTs, and ancillary staff by
making assignments and monitoring patient care
Providing quality nursing care to meet
identified patient outcomes
Carrying out assigned functions according to
philosophy, goal and objectives of the hospital and program unit
Contributing as an active part of the
treatment team
Patient close observation
Patient escorts

Requirements
This opportunity is available to individuals who
m! eet the following requirements:
Current RN license to practice in the state of
Louisiana is required
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a
psychiatric/mental health field is preferred
Ability to supervise LPNs, MHTs and ancillary
staff in selected aspects of direct clinical care is required
Effective oral and written communication
skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required
Ability to interact in a positive manner and
to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor
and other hospital employees
Must be able to work in a fast-paced
environment with frequent interruptions
Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force
occasionally
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach,
stand, walk, push, pull, lift & grasp
Successful completion of Crisis Prevention
Intervention (CPI) & CPR within 90 days of employment
