We are currently looking to add a dynamic Psyciatric Nurse to our team.

The psychiatric trained and educated nurse is a nurse that has special training and experience beyond the standard curriculum required for a registered nurse.

Additionally, the resume of the Psychiatric Home Care Nurse that will be providing psychiatric services under the Medicare Home Health Benefit must be submitted to Palmetto GBA for approval.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Evaluation of patient suffering from a diagnosed psychiatric disorder
• Providing services to the patient under a plan of care established and reviewed by a physician
• Providing psychotherapy and teaching to the patient suffering from a diagnosed psychiatric disorder

Requirem! ents The Registered Nurse and must meet one of the following q! ualifications:

• A RN with a Master’s Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
• A RN with a bachelor’s degree in nursing with one year of experience in an active treatment unit in a psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic
• A RN with a diploma or associate’s degree with two years experience in an active treatment unit in psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic.
