RN/Staff Nurse

Location: New Orleans Louisiana

• Degree from accredited school of nursing.
• Basic Life Support
• Licensed in the State of Louisiana or eligible
• Registered Nurse
• 2 -3 years experience required.

The purpose of the job is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care based on standards of care and the policies of Touro Infirmary. The RN/Staff delegates to professional and non-professional personnel involved in the delivery of patient care. (2009)
RN experience required and chemotherapy certification required for this position (or williingness to become certified); Oncology RN experience preferred.

Requirements

• 2 years RN experience (1 in area of expertise)
• To remain active, work two shifts per pay period.
• One major and one minor holiday per calendar year

Hourly Base Rate
2yrs - less than 5 yrs exp = $31
5 years or more exp = $33
Differentials
Evenings = $4
Nights = $5
Weekends = $5
(weekend diff is cumulative with shift diffs)

Current Louisiana RN licensure is required on hire. CPR certification is required to be current by end of general hospital/nursing or! ientation. Other Required certifications must be completed as ! follows:

>New graduates will have current department specific certification(s) by anniversary of hire date;
>Experienced RNs who transfer or are newly hired will have current department specific certification(s) by 90 days following transfer/hire.
