The primary purpose of the MDS Nurse is to coordinate delivery of services to managed care and Medicare residents in collaboration with multi-facility team members. The MDS Nurse will assist the Director of Clinical Services with ensuring that all documentation in the facility meets all federal and state certification guidelines.
As an MDS Nurse - LPN you are:
Responsible for providing direct resident care and accordance with established plans
Conduct and document a thorough assessment of each resident's medical status! upon admission
Provide regular status and updates to appr! opriate personnel
Provide routine nursing services for residents as directed by the Registered Nurse / Nursing Supervisor
Requirements
MDS Nurse - LPN Requirements
Must possess a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
Must possess prior Long Term Care MDS Experience
Completion of an approved course of practical or vocational nursing study
Minimum of 1 years of nursing experience
Minimum of 6 months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Must be knoweledgable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
