General Summary:
Works collaboratively with and under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse to provide for the
delivery of ! patient care through the use of the nursing process. Communicates effectively with coworkers,
patients, family and visitors. Provides a safe environment for the patient. Assist the patient to
reach optimal functioning considering their individual capabilities. Performs all functions as delegated
by the staff nurse. Demonsstrates actions consistent with Ochsner's Expectations as duties are performed
on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent: Computer data. entry. Current Louisiana Certification as a
Nurses' Assistant (CNA) required at time of hire; Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Regional
pool requires renewal every two years. Healthcare provider CPR is required. Hospital experience
preferred.
