The Registered Nurse will perform a comprehensive nursing assessment, develop, and implement
a patient treatment plan consistent with the objectives of the multi-discipl! inary treatment plan. The
patient and his/her family will be included in patient care planning and setting of discharge objectives.
The Registered Nurse implements nursing care through such services as case management, health
instructions, health counseling, providing care supportive to or restorative of life and well being, and
executing health care regimens as prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, or other authorized
prescribes, performs a comprehensive nursing assessment of an individual patient consistent with established standards of care, identifies health care needs and establishes appropriate nursing diagnosis, establishes goals to meet the identified health care needs, plans nursing care measures, documents all of the above appropriately, interprets data accurately in relation to patient care consideration and setting priorities, communicates with all members of the health care team, delegates nursing interventions to qualified nursing pe! rsonnel in accordance with State Board of
Nursing criteria! . The RN collaborates with physicians, dentists, and other health care providers in the management of the patient's care and evaluates the human responses to all interventions.
The Registered Nurse will provide individualized health education to the patient and family members
from admission through discharge using any appropriate methods necessary, uses appropriate resources to meet the educational goals, prepares patient for diagnostic or surgical procedures, implements holistic therapeutic measures to promote healing and wellness and communicates effectively with all age groups which pertains to the patient population served. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, administers medications per standards, administers treatments as per standards, interprets normal parameters of diagnostic data, reports abnormalities of diagnostic data in a timely manner, administers blood and blood components as per standards a! nd interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to the age-specific needs.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana required.
CPR certification to be obtained with 30 days of hire.
Falls Prevention, OSHA, and Restraints training to be obtained with in 30 days of hire.
